Crystal Lake.  Location: Northeast of Los Angeles in  Angeles National Forest; : Picnic areas, a campground,  and a vlsltor information center are avail-  able. No motors are permitted on the lake.  .  Contact info: Los Angeles National Forest, San  Gabriel (626) 335- 1251   Fishing Crystal Lake:

Crystal  is not very large but it gets some large  trout stocked and it's location makes up for it lack or size.  San Gabriel  mountains get rains in the late winter,  and the  DFG plants it with rainbow trout. 10 to 12 inches. Here is the website for the planting schedule for you to follow..

 How to Fish Santa Fe Lake

Santa Fe Reservoir just north of Irwindale is stocked  with trout about once a month during the winter and into the spring...there are also largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie to pursue during the summer and fall... Camping and picnicking, as well as a snack bar,  a  boat ramp, boats for hire,  bait/ tackle, and groceries are available.

Non motorized boats under eight feet and  motorized boats over 12 feet long are  prohibited.
